A slew of Hip-Hop notables, including Eminem and Missy Elliott have been nominated for the 31st annual People's Choice Awards.
Though he hasn't released an effort since 2002's 8 Mile Soundtrack, Slim is nominated for Favorite Male Singer alongside teen idol Usher and the legendary Prince. Meanwhile Will Smith will compete for Favorite Male Action Movie Star and OutKast will attempt to nab yet another trophy in the Best Group category.
Missy Elliott and Lil Kim have received nods for Best Remake for appearing on Christina Aguilera's "Car Wash." Black Eyed Peas' with Justin Timberlake will go head to head against Lil Jon and Ludacris with Usher in the Best Combined Forces category. On the television side, Xzibit's "Pimp My Ride" is being considered for Favorite Reality Show and "The Surreal Life" featuring Flava Flav is nominated for Favorite Reality Show.
Nominations in additional categories are scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks.
