Re: Eminem & Green Lantern Release Pro Democratic Mixtape
As the presidential elections get closer, the Young Voter Alliance, Eminem and DJ Green Lantern are teaming up to release a pro-Democratic mixtape.
The CD is released in conjunction with the Alliance's Trick Or Vote campaign, which aims to recruit young progressive democratic voters for the upcoming elections. The project is a collective effort by the Young Voter Alliance, the League Of Hip-Hop Voters, the League Of Pissed Off Voters, Move On Student Action and the National Stonewall Democrats. In their quest to register more voters, the Alliance are searching door-to-door in hope to find untapped and untargeted democrats.
The Alliance recently held a release party in Philadelphia where players in the elections including, Malia Lazu, an Alliance staff member and Showtime American Candidate addressed the young crowd.
"DJ Green Lantern is the biggest selling mixtape DJ in the country," Lazu offered. "Having him be a part of this project is groundbreaking and we are looking forward to using this CD to get young people excited about voting for Democrats."
