Eminem wins UN cyber squatting case!

Rap superstar Eminem has won his battle against a cyber squatter using his trademark on an Internet site with the help of a United Nations ruling.
The Stan hitmaker was furious to discover that Tim McIntosh and Visitair Ltd. were using the web address www.eminemmobile.com to attract buyers to their site, which sold mobile ring tones and picture messages.

The UN's World Intellectual Property Organization ruled last Thursday that the superstar must have the name transferred over to him within 10 days, after deciding McIntosh and Visitair Ltd. had acted in bad faith when registering the name, reports teenmusic.com.

The losing party has, until the deadline to launch an appeal against the ruling. (ANI)
